WORLDNET
LAUNCHES TRAINING INSTITUTE
Guaynabo,
PR – WorldNet Telecommunications launched today
the WorldNet Institute Education Series for businesses, residents,
and students. This education series will offer Puerto Rico periodically
the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in telecom
and technology, as well as human relations and organizational
skills, including how these advancements change and enhance the
way businesses do business and people live their lives.
Starting
on Tuesday, October 24th, the Polytecnic University engineering
and system information students will participate in a “Telecom
Summit” that will provide them training program with solid
and practical information about opportunities and developments
in telecom and technology.
On
Wednesday, October 25th, the two-day Telecom Summit will continue,
as businesses’ information technology personnel will participate
at a WorldNet Institute seminar at Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association
facilities. This seminar will provide them with valuable information
about broadband and internet protocol solutions and how they can
transform the way they do business. Max Kipfer, one of America’s
pioneers in the development of fiber based broadband networks,
will be an expert guest speaker for this occasion, along with
top technical and business professionals from the WorldNet team.
“Training
is an essential core component of our company’s commitment
to excellence in our performance and education for our customers,
and our year-round WorldNet Institute program reflects that commitment.
This week’s Telecom Summit idea came from a WN engineer
who appreciated the tradition of focused efforts and saw the importance
of having a highlighted program in October. The Summit extends
to the public and to students, our leaders of the future with
state of the art updates in telecom and technology, where developments
constantly change the way the technology can be used,” said
Lawrence Freedman, WorldNet President and CEO.
“For
years, WorldNet has emphasized training of our people in both
technical skills and human relations, conflict resolution, and
similar skills associated with our vision. As we have grown, and
completed our own network infrastructure and moved into the next
phase of our company’s evolution, we thought it logical
and appropriate to expand and formalize our training program into
the WorldNet Institute. We see so much potential for telecom and
technology, and our vision of compassion and caring, to transform
and advance Puerto Rico business, residents, and young people.
And, we think the more information they have, the better they
will be able to take advantage of these advancements. We are confident
that this will lead to a technology educated workforce and community
which will in turn empower Puerto Rico with skills that could
help the Island to become a world-class technology and telecom
leader”, added Freedman.
