Founded in 1996 with only 10 employees, WorldNet Communications is a wholly owned Puerto Rican company. At present, more than 180 professionals representing the best talent in the telecommunications industry are part of our team.

In 1999, WorldNet was the first telecommunications provider that reached an agreement with Puerto Rico Telephone to sell their products at a discount rate.

In 2002, Ernst & Young awarded WorldNet with the prestigious “Entrepreneur of the Year” distinction. In 2006, we were selected among the “Puerto Rico’s 20 Best Employers”, a survey performed by Hewitt & Associates. In the same year, the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce chose WorldNet to receive the Zenit Award in the telecommunications sector for growth, innovations and excellence.

Over the past three years, we have invested more than $40 million in building our own infrastructure. This investment allows us to offer the Puerto Rican market the latest and most innovative telecommunications products and services.

At present, WorldNet is the third largest telecommunications provider in Puerto Rico.
